What does an Internal Sales Consultant do?
What if someone told you that you could get a brand new vehicle for around the same payment as your current ride? Talk about an upgrade! Most clients are thrilled by this idea and our Internal Sales Consultant is the friendly voice who reaches out to tell them the good news. This position is responsible for working behind the scenes researching current vehicle equity, taking bona fide interest in the client's needs/wants/budget situations, and after thoughtful consideration helping to guide them towards their dream car. We are looking for a genuine, self-motivated individual to join our team - if you like what you've read so far and have a passion for providing top-notch customer service, maybe this is a golden opportunity for you!
As an Internal Sales Consultant, you will:
Market vehicles to potential customers.
Talk with customers in the service lane about upgrading their vehicle.
Provide quotes and estimated savings factoring in upcoming repairs.
Schedule and set appointments with potential clients and communicate with Managers/Sales Consultants to relay any pertinent information prior to the face to face appointment.
Contact customers coming in for service and/or in an equity situation.
Maintain basic knowledge of manufacturer's vehicles as well as current finance/incentive programs.
What are the educational/experience requirements needed to be an Internal Sales Consultant?
Other than possessing solid people-acumen, there is no prior experience required for this position. If you already love/know a lot about cars great! But it's not a necessity, we just expect that you have the willingness to learn all about our wonderful products. We'd prefer you have a high school diploma or GED, but if you have one to three months of related experience/training or a combination of experience and education you could be considered.
What are the general requirements of this position?
A positive attitude and desire to help others are absolute musts, and you should really be comfortable communicating with different people from all walks of life.
Strong computer/typing skills are crucial!
You should be comfortable handling negotiation and rejection. You also need to have strong follow-up skills.
You must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. You will also need a PA Vehicle Sales License, which we will help you furnish.
You will be required to comply with the Bobby Rahal Automotive Group handbook dress code policies.
